What Is M-Sand (Manufactured Sand)?
Manufactured Sand — M-Sand — is produced by crushing hard granite rock through a VSI (Vertical Shaft Impactor) crusher to produce fine aggregate particles below 4.75mm in size. Unlike river sand, which varies in silt content, particle shape, and gradation from one riverbed to another, M-Sand from Mrs Bluemetals is manufactured to a controlled specification — BIS IS 383:2016 Zone II — with every production batch tested for specific gravity, silt content, water absorption, and particle size distribution before leaving our Keerapakkam plant.
Tamil Nadu’s restrictions on river sand extraction have made M-Sand the standard construction material in Chennai. Mrs Bluemetals invested in VSI technology certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards — and as the manufacturer, we supply factory-direct, without the reseller margin that traders or dealers add on top.
